We recently made a submission on the Department of Conservation’s proposal to create 19 new marine protections for the Hauraki Gulf. We expressed support for the proposals and asked Ministers to proceed as quickly as possible to implement these much-needed changes. Urgent action is needed to repair damage to the Gulf and to stop it from degrading further. Marine protection is one of the necessary levers.
